The Minalogic cluster specializes in micro- and nanotechnologies and software. It is certified as a global competitive cluster under the French government’s cluster policy, making Minalogic-certified R&D projects eligible for specific sources of funding.
The cluster helps build partnerships between stakeholders from higher education, research, and industry in the fields of micro- and nanotechnologies and software. Partnerships can be national or international, and their applications can span industries like healthcare, the environment, energy, mobility, connectivity, imaging, and all industries that integrate electronic components. The goal is to provide manufacturers with competitiveness-enhancing breakthrough innovations.
As of December 2016, Minalogic had certified 450 projects representing a total budget of €2 billion (including €805 million in government funding), and counted 330 members. The 67 projects completed to date have resulted in 706 new jobs, 56 products (either on the market or in the process of being prepared for market release) and generated €1.6 billion in revenue.
Minalogic works with two other local clusters: Lyonbiopôle for healthcare and Tenerrdis for energy.
