Lyonbiopôle

Lyonbiopôle is certified by the French government as a global competitive cluster. It focuses on infectious diseases in humans and animals and cancer, from prevention through to treatment. The cluster also works on developing original administration systems. The cluster’s work draws upon the broad range of skills available in the Grenoble and Lyon areas.

As of December 2013, Lyonbiopôle had certified 135 R&D projects representing total spending of €671 million (including €269 million in government funding) and counted 136 members (more than 80% SMBs).

Minalogic

Minalogic

The Minalogic global competitive cluster for micro- and nanotechnologies and software helps businesses and research labs across the Rhône-Alpes region innovate in a number of fields, including healthcare. The innovations that come out of the cluster’s collaborative R&D projects bring the latest advances in digital technology and miniaturization to the healthcare industry. Applications include improved in-home healthcare, new remote healthcare and augmented surgery technologies, improved diagnostics and medical systems, and innovative new sensors.

As of December 2016, Minalogic had certified 450 projects representing a total budget of €2 billion (including €805 million in government funding), and counted 330 members. The 67 projects completed to date have resulted in 706 new jobs, 56 products (either on the market or in the process of being prepared for market release) and generated €1.6 billion in revenue.

TASDA is part of a broader national in-home healthcare and assisted-living initiative rolled out in 2009 by the French Ministry for Industrial Renewal.
