Nearly 60 people attended the first Friends of Grenoble/UK event set in London at the”incubator extraordinaire” Level39 Canary Wharf on Wednesday March 9th. The event was organised by Invest in Grenoble/AEPI, Grenoble School of Management (GEM), Grenoble INP and the IRT Nanoélec.
The topic was indeed an exciting one - “entrepreneur is a French word, but what can we learn from the UK?”-, and gathered a panel of GEM and Grenoble INP alumni, entrepreneurs and professionals in London – such as Alexis Grabar (CEO of AviaMediaTech), Stéphanie Hospital (founder of OneRagtime) and Éric Mouilleron (CEO of Bankable) - along with Invest in Grenoble/AEPI North America representative Sharon Rehbinder and Nicolas Steiner, founding member of Level 39 and accomplished entrepreneur, currently driving a team of GEM students around a project dedicated to “startup @home”.
An introduction by Adizah Tejani, Head of Ecosystem Development at Level39, welcomed the participants. The live panel was moderated with expertise by Veronique Pequignat, Director - International Actions & Key Technologies at Invest in Grenoble/AEPI.
We look forward to many such events in the future, which really leverage the extensive worldwide network of alumni from our Grenoble schools and universities!
