The Grenoble Institut of Neurosciences (GIN) recently inaugurated its high-resolution photonic imaging platform (PIC-GIN). The platform’s tools are now available to both scientific and industrial communities.
PIC-GIN enables researchers to achieve resolutions close to electronic microscope levels all the while benefiting from the advantages of fluorescence microscopy. The platform opens the door to better understanding of neural networks from the cellular level to entire networks. After several months of operation, the platform has already enabled GIN researchers to make significant advances in their work.
