It strengthens our determination to build the city of the future, making Greater Grenoble tomorrow’s energy transition metropolis.”
The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region also features in the Financial Times rankings, in ninth place among Large European Regions (population of more than 4 million) in the “Connectivity” category, based on the quality of IT and communications infrastructure.
Yannick Neuder, Invest in Grenoble-Isère, France-AEPI President and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes VP: “As AEPI President and Vice-President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, it is doubly satisfying for me that these results confirm the attractiveness of both Grenoble-Isère and the Region. We owe this distinction to a large degree to innovation, our region’s universities and the companies that fuel the economic growth of our region.”
fDI Intelligence measures the attractiveness of cities and regions by various criteria, such as economic potential, labour environment, and the quality of infrastructure. The rankings are based on data collected on 294 cities and 148 regions.
