Grenoble-Isère is a major beneficiary of the French government’s massive Opération Campus plan to bring higher education in the country into the 21st century and beyond. Grenoble’s two main universities will receive €400 million for their modernization programs, transforming the city into a multi-campus “Innovation University”.
