This Workshop, opened to FP7 EU project coordinators, intends to: Give a complete overview of the entire portfolio of projects on the safe implementation of nanotechnologies in the EU Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and the progress on specific cluster objectives - Bring forward the global picture of nanotechnology safety research and innovation in Europe, highlight the impact of nanotechnologies in this area and future related policy needs - Enable the “nano” communities in Europe to identify joint collaboration and application areas, and gain new contacts and new ideas for strategic industrial partnerships - Make key recommendations on future research needs for the implementation of nanotechnologies in order to set up a roadmap by fostering the transnational development of nanotechnologies in Europe - Reinforce transnational activities for joint calls through the identification of common challenges via SIINN project - Build up a community of research for collaboration with third countries (USA).
